Do I really need Health Insurance? I've always been healthy.
Health Insurance is one of the most important things you will arrange with regards to your education. Health care
costs in Canada are continuing to rise. Some sample Canadian costs:
- One visit to the doctor and the antibiotic prescription you are given could cost you $150 Canadian dollars.
- Costs for visiting a Hospital ER begin at approx. $500 Canadian dollars
- If you are hospitalized, it could cost you up to $3200 Canadian dollars per day
- If you need to stay in the hospital for 10 days, it could cost more than $35,000 Canadian dollars including
doctor's fees etc.
Health care costs around the world are an issue. You should always have health insurance when travelling outside
your home country.
