Guard.me Seminar Sponsorship to Support International Educators

Guard.me has been confirmed as the first official sponsor for BCCIE Summer Seminar 2012, taking place at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre in Kelowna from June 24 to 27, 2012. Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring the sound professional development of international educators working within Canada's diverse international education communities, Guard.me's premium level sponsorship will allow up to five professionals to take part in this year's conference.

Clark Hortsing, Vice-President of Guard.me, looks forward to the partnership. "We are so pleased to have the opportunity to partner with BCCIE and support the professional development of our clients and friends in international education," he says. "What really impresses us about these events, and underpins our support for them, is the opportunity they provide for all of us to enrich and enhance our connections to each other, our roles in the organizations where we work and our support for the students whom we all serve in some way."

BCCIE Executive Director, Randall Martin, salutes the ongoing commitment of Guard.me to the field of international education. "Guard.me continues its support of BCCIE this year and has been a supporter of international education for many years. They were a key sponsor at our last conference in Whistler. Their great generosity will ensure that our colleagues who may not otherwise benefit from the expertise and networking opportunities of Summer Seminar be given the opportunity to develop new skills and contribute to the growth of international education in Canada."

The BCCIE Summer Seminar 2012 is Western Canada's largest international education conference, bringing together upwards of 250 international educators and administrators from across Canada under the theme Global Pursuits, Local Endeavours. The conference will feature up to twenty-four concurrent sessions covering topics of interest for international education professionals at all levels, including dedicated streams for international education leaders and newcomers to the field, as well as a number of high profile networking and pre-conference events.
